eagle-eyes bargain hunting
desperation writ across many faces
clunk of bags, ping of cash registers, sweat and strain
endless search for car parksÂ
always being in the wrong queue at the cash register — queue hopping, losing
tinsel, people, piped carols, people, press of humanity, people
colour and sound, scent of perfume, grumbles
promise to be more organised next yearÂ
